Can bearded dragons eat pumpkins?

That is the question that many people ask when they are researching what to feed their pets.

In this blog post, we will discuss the answer and how it may affect your pet’s health.

Some people have the misconception that bearded dragons can eat pumpkin. This is not true, and it could do your pet serious harm if you feed them this food item regularly.

The truth is that a lot of vegetables are poisonous to lizards, including butternut squash or zucchini with an outer skin much like a pumpkin’s. So be sure not to offer these items as part of their diet.

If they seem interested in eating them, discourage them gently by removing those veggies from sight for about six weeks before reintroducing them back into the mix.

When Should You Feed Your Pet Some Pumpkin?
