When you are in the business of buying or selling a business, the final step (after all the paperwork) is a meeting with a real estate attorney. This is where the real work starts. The attorney will discuss your business with you and will explain to you what you need to know about your own business.

My attorney, Michael, has been in this business for a long time. He is a business transaction attorney who handles all sorts of complicated business transactions. He has helped my wife and I buy and sell our own business. When I used to come around with my wife (she is a real estate attorney) to talk to Michael about our business, he would often bring his wife along with him (she is a business transaction attorney).

As it turns out, Michael has been helping people like myself buy and sell our businesses for years now, and we’ve been in the business for quite a while. I’d like to give you guys a real quick update. I’ve been doing a lot of research on your business and your website and I think I’ve found what I’m looking for.

Im selling my family’s business to Michael, after my wife passed away. As we speak, she is preparing her estate. It is going to be sold to the highest bidder. My mom is going to live on in her condominium. The other reason is because we do not want her to be disturbed.

As you may know, there are a lot of business transactions that come with the death of a loved one. Sometimes that can be a cause for concern. I would venture to guess that you are one of the few businesses that have not had this issue. We at the law firm have always tried to treat death with respect and dignity. It is a difficult topic to discuss with clients and we do try to make every attempt to do so.

It’s important to put things into perspective. We have had a client that has passed away and we had to do some things that he would never have thought of. We have a new client that passed away and we had to do a whole lot of things that he didn’t know how to do. We have a family member that passed away and we had to do a lot of things that he never would have thought of.

One of the most difficult things for any business transaction attorney to do is to get a client to realize you actually do NOT want him to do things he doesn’t want to do. The reason for this is that when you can walk into your client’s office and say, “Do this thing!” then that thing is going to be done, no matter what. That is true of business transactions, as well as a family member passing, a death, or an illness.

A lot of business transaction attorneys (and attorneys in general) get so accustomed to working with their clients that they dont bother to do this. Instead, they get defensive and try to do things that they dont want to do. They may even try to blame the client for any mistakes that they make (which is an excellent way to fail) as well as trying to find ways to make your client feel uncomfortable.

This is something that I have seen myself, and I have seen many attorneys do. For example, a client may tell me, “this is a really good case, but I think I should give you a discount.” After I make myself look guilty of a mistake, I may go to a business transaction attorney and tell them that I think I should give them a “reasonable” discount, even though I know that I definitely didnt do anything wrong and have no intention of doing so.

That is a really good example. I have seen many attorneys do this, and not one of them has ever been convicted for this.
